Q. I am interested in studying in Korea but I do not know where to start. Can you provide me some information?

Q. I want to further my studies in Korea and I'm looking for a scholarship program.
A. You may apply for Korean Government Scholarship Program. You may find the information on this program here:
For your information, this is the only scholarship program offered by the government of Korea. If you are looking for other scholarships, you need to check with the Korean universities whether they offer any scholarships for foreigner or not.

Q. I'm interested in learning Korean language. Does the Korean Embassy offer any free Korean language classes?
A. Unfortunately, Korean Embassy does not offer Korean language classes. However, Korea Tourism Organization inKuala Lumpur does offer free Korean classes. Please visit this website for more information:

Q. Can the Embassy recommend a good Korean tutor for me?
A. Unfortunately, we do not have the list of tutors who teach Korean in Malaysia. Hope you understand.

Q. Where can I sit for TOPIK (Test of Proficiency in Korean) test in Malaysia?
A. TOPIK Test is held in UKM (Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia). Please visit http://cafe.naver.com/koreaukm for more information.


Visa

Note: Visa applications can only be done during the morning session (8.30am~12.00pm) and it usually takes at least 3 working days to process once  the complete application is received at the Consulate. Visa collection time is from 3.00 to 4.00pm

Q. I am a Malaysian and I am planning to visit Korea for 1 month. Do I have to apply for visa?
A. No, you don't have to if you do not engage in remunerative activities during your stay. You may stay up to 90 days without visa in Korea under the visa waiver agreement between Korea and Malaysia

Q. What is the difference between D-2 (regular education program) and D-4 (general training) visa?

Others

Q. Where can I rent Hanbok (Korean traditional costume) in Malaysia?
A. The Korean Embassy does not offer any Hanbok rental service. Try searching for 'rent Korean traditional costumeMalaysia' on the search engine; you may get a list of costume shops which have Korean traditional costumes.

Q. Does the Korean Embassy offer any internship opportunities for the university students or recent graduates?
A. Thank you for your interest. However, there are currently no internship opportunities at our Embassy.

Q. I'm looking for a Korean translator. Can the Embassy recommend any good translator for me?
A. Unfortunately, we do not have any list of translators/interpreters with us. You may try contacting Korean Society in Malaysia (03-6203-3834/2834) or KOTRA (03-2117-7100) for assistance.

Q. I want to work in Korea, can you give me some information?
